How We Did It
Our client arrived with some great ideas about creating a historically sympathetic and future functional space.
The brief was to let the style of tiles, vanity, and tapware tell a story about the home’s age while maintaining a monochromatic overall colour palette.
Our design choices were unique and carefully considered. We opted for black Fienza tapware from Eagles with period style lever mixers, a black Windsor vanity from Timberline and plain white subway tiles laid in a horizontal brick bond, like our #6 display bathroom.
The look was combined with the practical functionality of a back-to-wall toilet suite, in-wall niches in the shower, double-stacked towel rails for easy drying and an above-counter basin that allowed for maximum storage within the vanity.
The final flourish came in the form of a mirror sourced from an op-shop, which our client stripped and painted to complement the space.
